Merchants of the Wild

Six Indigenous Adventurers embark on the journey of a lifetime, as they spend 25 days on the land, paddling two birchbark canoes through the vast oceanic territory known to the L’nu’k (Mi’kmaq) people as Kespek (last land), and known to non-Indigenous people as the Gaspe Peninsula, Quebec. During the course of their adventure, they will meet L’nu’k Elders and Knowledge Holders at various camps along the winding river, and secluded lakes, learning culture, language, and traditional L’nu teachings to help them complete their journey while reconnecting to who they are as Indigenous people.
