1) Costa Brava

In the first programme of this new series, architectural designer Charlie Luxton heads to Spain and the rugged coastline of the Costa Brava. Located in the autonomous and fiercely proud region of Catalonia, Costa Brava means “Wild Coast” and it’s an area renowned for its rocky shoreline that tumbles into the Med. It’s this rough and ragged beauty that attracts people to live here and to create some fabulous coastal homes.

2) Cote D’Azur

In this second episode of the series Charlie Luxton’s in France on the dazzling Cote D’Azur, so called because of the vivid blue colour of the water that gently laps against this stretch of Mediterranean shoreline. Also known as The French Riviera, the Cote D’Azur coast is renowned for its glitz and glamour and has been the playground for the rich and famous since the 18th century.

4) Crete

In the latest programme of the series, architectural designer Charlie Luxton heads to Greece and the spectacular island of Crete. Located in the eastern Mediterranean, Crete is the fifth biggest island in the Med and has been fought over by competing armies for thousands of years. But as well as having a turbulent history it’s one the most beautiful Mediterranean islands and a great place to find amazing homes.

In the fifth programme of this series architectural designer Charlie Luxton heads back to Spain and the hugely popular coastline of Cost Del Sol. Aptly named the ‘’Coast of Sun’’, this part of Andalucia is one of the most visited stretches of coastlines anywhere on the Med and Charlie looks at what’s behind its enduring appeal while discovering a different side away from the beaches and tourists.

6) Puglia

In the final programme of the series, architectural designer Charlie Luxton travels to Italy and the little-known region of Puglia. It’s an agricultural region known as the breadbasket of Italy, producing olives, bread, pasta and wine in abundance. Puglia is located in the heel of Italy’s boot, and Charlie’s travelling along its Adriatic shoreline – starting in the ancient port city of Monopoli, so called because it was the “only city” left standing following Barbarian coastal raids in ancient times.
